So I'm torn between really wanting to like this and thinking I have better games in the pile of shame to be spending my time on. Don't get me wrong, this is an effective piece of entertainment on a budget. Not exceptional, but delivered in a fun and occasionally logical manner. The high amount of dialogue and varied scenes are good enough quality for the game style but I felt that getting through the game was more of a slog than being driven by enjoyment.Recommended as a workman like point and click with suitably B movie plot. But you aren't going to be talking about it round the watercooler.. Fantastic adventure game. Probably the best I've played in years.. There are quite a few things I don't like about this game, but my overall experience was still very positive. They really did a good job with the graphics and audio, and the atmosphere in this game is great, which I think is very important in a point and click adventure. My best memories of adventure games comes from sucking in the incredible atmosphere of brilliantly portrayed locations like Stark in The Longest Journey or the Land of the Dead in Grim Fandango, and I definitely did get a similar experience on several occations in Lost Horizon. That really was the main driving point for me to complete the game, because the puzzles were too easy and rarely interesting, and I don't think the story was especially impressive either. Still, if you are looking for a calmer, more atmospheric experience than what modern QTE adventure games offer, I heartily recommend this game.. This is an awesome adventure game. good puzzles and great diologe. A must if you want new point and click adventure.. Cliche, but none-the-less enjoyable, Indian Jones style point and click adventure game with a polished feel.. I was kinda dreading starting this game. I got in in a bundle with the Secret Files series, which turned out to be quite underwhelming, and I didn't want to go through the same thing. But I was (thankfully) so wrong!The story centers around Fenton Paddock, our protagonist. With a name fit for a rascal, he appears quite flippant but not in an offensive way due to his copious amount of boyish charm. The rest of the cast is also interesting, each with a rich backstory and distinct motivations. And the voice acting is spot on!But the great beauty of this game is the sense of adventure it exudes. The progression of the story makes so much sense and the places you go (or end up) are diverse, beautifully crafted and presented, with an almost magical allure; from the Governor's mansion in Hong Kong, to the Himalayas and the streets of Marrakech. The various maps of each area are a nice touch, adding to the game's adventurous nature.Playing this game has been an absolute delight!\u25b0\u25b0\u25b0\u25b0\u25b0\u25b0\u25b0\u25b0\u25b0\u25b1Whole-heartedly recommended!. Nice adventure game, fun, good voice acting. About as good as the other series (Secret Files) of Animation Arts. Buggy at points but nothing too serious :)
